Gebrüder T 1819 stands for Thonet Brother 1819. 1819 being the year Michael Thonet founded the company.  Five generations later the Thonet brothers still own the business and still make the famous bentwood chairs, tubular steel Bauhaus classics, as well as contemporary contract and residential furniture.  The factory is still in Frankenberg, Germany - where timeless design and craftsmanship go hand in hand.

Shown above is their Range 808 Lounge Chair. Designed by Formstelle, this is their contemporary reinterpretation of a classic wing chair. It features a mechanism which enables the variable adjustment of seat and backrest inclinations to allow a perfect fit for each user. The 808 Lounge is available with 3 different base styles, many standard upholstery combinations, and offers a matching ottoman. Artifort NEW PRODUCTS

For over 125 years, Artifort has been producing some of the finest furniture for Higher education, Hospitality, Contract, and Residential projects. Pierre Paulin's iconic designs for Artifort are usually the most recognizable to our clients. They have maintained their popularity throughout the years and they continue to reflect the innovation that Artifort prides itself on.

For 2016, they've introduced a design created by Pierre Paulin in 1960, the Tulip Midi. It's scaled larger than the Little Tulip Chair, but has the same design.  It's the perfect mid-sized side chair to round out the Tulip collection. Learn about SANCAL from Spain

Sancal was a dream of Santiago Castaño Carpena. He left a good job and decided to start a furniture manufacturing company centered around bringing contemporary furniture to the masses. Today, they work with world renown designers and focus on innovative furniture unlike any other. Their designs for public and private spaces make one always feel at home. An emphasis on comfort is always at the forefront for Sancal. They design with beautiful and subtle details and use nothing but the most high quality of materials.

Above you see an image of the very popular Tonella collection, by Design studio Note. This design was inspired by the original Marie Antoinette’s Chair. This design inspiration paired with the use of modern materials yielded one of Sancal's most successful launches to date. For 2016, they've launched a larger scaled Lounge chair and Sofa to round out the collection. The price points are great, too. A satellite version of the ultra popular emerging design event produced by Morlen Sinoway which ran in Chicago’s Fulton Market for 10 years will be featured on the South Drive of The Mart all day on Tuesday, June 14.  Morlen Sinoway will curate a selection of 10 up-and-comers showcasing prototype work and objects of design in the back of box trucks.
